Our attention to detail ensures a smooth experience for our clients and a high-quality finish to all our projects. Our project management fee is charged either by the hour or as a percentage of the build cost, whichever the client is most comfortable with.
THE FRENCHITECT
After spending time abroad as an architect in design meccas Paris, New York and Dubai, Jamal G — aka The Frenchitect — knew that interior design was where he wanted to be. With a particular affinity for kitchen design, Jamal moved to Australia in 2016 and opened his own interior design studio, Frenchitecture, in Brighton, Victoria, and Double Bay, New South Wales.
In the ensuing years, Jamal has slowly built Frenchitecture into an established design studio specialising in high-quality interiors. Working with a close-knit team of talented professionals, Jamal takes great pride in designing internal spaces across a variety of scales, scopes, and budgets to produce beautiful rooms that reflect the individual desires of his clients.
When asked about his design ethos, Jamal says, “I like to break the rules. I design outside of the box.” Rather than being inspired by a singular person or design influence, Jamal takes his inspiration from art, music, and the many places he has traveled across the globe, choosing to defy the status quo and find his muse in the unconventional. He prefers to challenge himself in order to achieve something unique and individual to each client. “If they don’t call me ‘crazy’, I have to ask myself if I am in the right inspiration,” he claims.
As a passionate creative, Jamal puts his heart and soul into each project. His education and experience as a french architect give him an edge in being able to offer turnkey solutions, working with his clients from initial concept to completion. However, with such passion comes a practical approach to helping his clients avoid the most common mistake in approaching a kitchen or bathroom build/renovation — not talking about money! “It’s like going for a drive with a GPS without putting in a destination — the best way to get lost,” quips Jamal. Be open about your expectations is his advice, and know what your limits are. “My main goal in my work is to succeed, and respecting a client’s budget is definitely a key to that success.”
When it comes to trend predictions, Jamal foresees a meshing of modern and traditional elements that form a solid foundation. “People really understand that progress isn’t made without strong foundations,” he claims. “I am a supporter of very simple lines in busy historical bases.”
